Electrical Inspection and Testing
It makes a lot of sense to have your home or property inspected and tested particularly so when contemplating the purchase of a new home.
All work conducted under Part P of the building regulations (Kitchens, Bathrooms, Gardens, Garages etc) is also registered with the local Building Control Office and a compliance certificate issued.
For a domestic property it is recommended that a Periodic Inspection (fixed wiring) to be conducted at the change of occupancy or within a 10 year period.
For domestic rental properties the time period is reduced to 5 years or at the change of occupant, with the Electrical Equipment (PAT) tested every year.
